
SHASHI CULLINAN COOK
LOCAL RESEARCHER - UJShashi Cullinan Cook is a part-time lecturer of critical studies in art and design at the University of Johannesburg’s Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture (FADA). She is currently reading for her PhD in Education at the University of Johannesburg under the supervision of Prof Brenda Leibowitz. After spending her undergraduate years in spattered overalls obtaining a B(Fine Art) degree at Rhodes University, Shashi completed her Master’s degree in art history and visual culture. Her subsequent experiences as a lecturer of critical studies in art and design at FADA stirred her current research interests in learning and teaching in relation to social justice, rurality and decoloniality.
